David Mongrue – Dow Chemical
Vice President, Operations

David Mongrue is Vice President of Global Operations for Dow’s Consumer & Infrastructure and Industrial Solutions divisions.  He is also a member of the company’s Operations Leadership Team and has served in this capacity since 2012.

Mongrue has 38 years of Operations experience.  Following a series of manufacturing, engineering, and technical lead roles, he was named to ever-increasing leadership positions with Union Carbide/Dow.  These positions ranged from plant manager/site leader to global operations director.  Mongrue’s responsibilities span all regions of the globe (North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific) and he has been based in various U.S. locations, including New Orleans, LA; Houston, TX; Danbury, CT; Victoria, TX; Midland, MI; and Philadelphia, PA.

David has served as an officer of various subsidiaries and currently serves as an officer/director of Rohm and Haas.

Mongrue is the Dow executive for Louisiana State University, a member of the LSU College of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council, board member for the LSU College of Engineering Building campaign, and former district chair for the Boy Scouts Chippewa District.

In 2015, David was honored with his induction into the College of Engineering’s Hall of Distinction at Louisiana State University.

Mongrue is a member of the Manufacturing Leadership Council’s Board of Governors.

Mongrue earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Louisiana State University and has done post graduate work in business administration.

David lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with his wife, Sue.  They have three grown children, Lauren, Ashley, and Andrew.  David’s hobbies are golf, watching college football, and spending time at the beach.
